We offer the official visit to Bodegas Alvear (Montilla). An educational visit with a sommelier to the oldest winery in Andalusia and the second oldest in Spain, including tasting!

Just over 30 minutes from Cordoba city by car, you can immerse yourself in the history and culture of Montilla-Moriles wine and discover the entire production process of this great oenological wonder of our land.

Our sommelier will guide you through the winery, the wine press, the fermentation room, the ageing cellar and the bottling area. Finally, we will go to the tasting room to enjoy the winery’s iconic wines: Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez.

The oldest winery in Andalusia: Alvear Montilla

Bodegas Alvear founded in 1729, it is the oldest winery in Andalusia. After 292 years, the eighth generation of the family is still its owner, giving its name to one of the most prestigious wine brands at a national and international level.

The fascinating history that the family treasures, its origins and its transformation in harmony with the respect for tradition and know-how make a visit to the winery a must if you visit Andalusia and Montilla-Moriles.
