The Legacy of the Alvear family in Montilla Moriles
The distinguished Brigadier Don Diego de Alvear y Ponce de León, in the 18th century, gathered the centenary soleras of the family in the “Bodega de la Casa”, whose sacristy preserves unique jewels.
During this visit we will show you the incredible history of our winery and characters through our rooms, we will visit the cellars of the Escudo and Liceo through the sacristy and we will finish with a tasting of unique wines in our Tasting Room.
It is a very personalized and careful visit by one of our sommeliers.
But, what does this activity consist of?
We will show you the history of our winery and therefore the history of Montilla-Moriles, a history written by the Alvear family, whose patronage in Montilla can be perceived in each of its corners. In addition to the historical context we will show you our great mythical wines and we will conduct a Wine Tasting in a very personalized environment presenting you great wines made from the Pedro Ximénez grape. We will enjoy each of the wines to be tasted and you will be able to appreciate the colors, textures, aromas and details of the history they keep.
